Lynch+Herzog
David Lynch working with Werner Herzog is like a wet dream. Two of my top 5 directors of all time on the same project- are you kidding me? This should be intense.
shareI just returned from an event with Herzog, and he explained that Lynch had nothing to do with this film, although his name appears in the credits because of his attachment to the production company. He did, however, say that they had a nice long talk, planning big, revolutionary things for cheap, independent films of the future. Herzog sent him a script, but Lynch has to date not gotten back to him. We'll see!

That would be awesome!!!
This is just begging to be played in a double bill with Port of Call New Orleans. Does anybody know much about the true events of which this film is based? Sounds quite surreal and like there's definitely going to be a story to be told here.

That would have been fun to hear. Maybe Lynch did a transcendental mind meld while Werner was asleep. ;) It has that nice 'whacked' feeling you get with Herzog's films, but some people have to stop themselves when they start saying, "It's one of the most enjoyable David Lynch films I've seen" . . . {rollee-eyes smiley lol}

I love this idea. If I'm allowed to dream about it, I'd like Gaspar Noé to be involved in a project with these two. Have you ever seen "Enter The Void"?

I'm guessing that the inclusion of Grace Zabriskie was Lynch's suggestion and certainly added his flair a little.
