I know most animes are better (if subs are done correctly) in the original language.
Weirdly enough English is offered in 5.1 whereas Japanese is only available in 2.0.

Watch it in japanese. It gives much more intensity.
shareYeah, the way I generally do it is default Japanese especially if the story is based in Japan. Otherwise there are things that are definitely lost. Inflections in tone and whatnot, dialects of the time, etc. More realistic, it is.
Anime like gungrave, Bebop, Berserk.. those are all good in english
ORIGINAL LANGUAGE FOR SURE!!! even if its an anime!

shareI watched it in dub and it wasn't that bad to be honest. I usually prefer the subs but sometimes the dubs ain't that bad. I thought the voices were fine, they didn't get no Americans to voice the Japanese actors at least.
shareI think both would be good. The movie is very visual with lots of ticks and little visual symbols that can be hard to keep up with even if you're a veteran sub reader. It would be nice just to take in the visuals with the english dialogue. But I watched it in Japanese, just my default.
shareJapanese all the way if you want the full experience. I try and stay away from dubs, although I realize that sometimes the subtitles can be very different from what is actually spoken. Especially if you get a fansub.
