shareI wouldn't call it subtle. When they first meet Franco, they mention his car smells like egg rolls, and he says something like, "it runs off rice oil from Hunan Palace, but we ride bikes when we can...global crisis and what not."
shareThe thing is, most liberals have sense of humor, so we can laugh at it too. Try that with showing conservatives something making fun of the gun nut extremes of the Right Wing.
shareThat wasn't the point of the joke though. The punchline is that everything has flip flopped - what used to be nerdy/uncool is now what the popular crew does. And now the cool kid is the outcast and the nerd is the popular one. It's not a joke on liberals, it's a joke on how what's cool changes mostly.
