Discovered a diamond in the rough.

Chancing upon this totally delightful movie was one of those few times, one stumbles upon magic in the cinema.

Jeremy Sisto and Kristin Chenoweth were absolutely wonderful in their parts. Chenoweth is sorely under used as a lead or supporting actress in drama.

I enjoy her beautiful voice as well. She is not seen enough in movies and her character in Pushing Daisies was short lived.

Sisto is also quite good in Law and Order, but never know when new episodes are to air.

Brian Baumgartner was also quite good.

If you are looking for a really good movie among all the garbage out there---this is one to get to as soon as you can.

You won't be disappointed.

I will buy a copy to watch every so often and maybe make it a annual event to watch like, "Its A Wonderful Life".

It was a nice surprise. When I got it from Netflix and read the description, I wondered why in the world I'd gotten it. It sounded very sleazy and I kept putting off watching it. Well, thank goodness, I finally got around to seeing it tonight (after watching a truly awful movie that I thought sounded great - Nobel Son). It was very tastefully done and the acting was understated, but deeply heartfelt. I guess some thought that the ending was hokey, but it made me cry. My feeling is that she did not commit suicide at the end. She seems so numb throughout the movie, but the homeless guy seemed to awaken something within her that I think she didn't even realize was there - and that is simply the hope that someone - anyone - cared. I felt that was why she contacted the priest in the first place - because he was the only one who seemed to truly care about her. Just reminds you, as does one of my all-time favorite movies, Pay It Forward, that one simple act of kindness can make a huge difference in someone's life - whether you realize it or not. And, that's what Jesus was about, wasn't he? Not a whole bunch of silly rules. Simply Love.

I agree. It is one of my favorites. It is tastefully done. It has such good message. The acting, directing ect was so good. It is defiantly underrated. hopefully one day it will get recognition it deserves like It’s a Wonderful Life did.
