The reaction was spot on! In that whole scene you see that she pretty much snaps. You have to figure she's a young girl, he was her first sexual experience... and everything she's known about him, with her family, her mom, everything was a lie!
What she did to the girl I disliked as well, but I understood where she was coming from, in a way she wanted to hurt his daughter similarly to the way he'd hurt her emotionally. What I really didn't like was when he saw her later on chased her through the moor and smacked the *beep* out of her. But honestly could we expect a more stable reaction from his character to begin with?

Yeah I totally got how she did want to get back at him for how much he hurt her, but still.. poor little girl. And yeah it was F'd what he did to her, but at the same time, it WAS his little girl she messed with and at least he didn't punch her in the gut or get more physical. Nonetheless, he's a douche all around and everyone in the film was kinda messed up one way or another

Geez. I'm not defending the guy overall, but he has a right to be upset for his DAUGHTER. I'd SLAP anyone--big or small, male or female TOO. (okay I wouldn't slap another CHILD at least, but a teenager? Very likely. I was a teenager once and trust me, I wasn't a DOPE; I KNEW right from wrong, same as I do TODAY in my late 20's). Just once is enough to get the point across.

I know it's not PC, but when it comes to defending your flesh and blood, *beep* being PC.

Good point. I was only focusing on the child/parent family thing, regarding the slap.

Yea, Connor got away with his running around, but that's what made the movie all the more realistic lol...

I'm not saying that Mia taking the little girl was a-ok, of course it wasn't! But I'm also not saying that Connor didn't have most of the influence on that.

And again, that's what makes the movie more realistic at least--even though in the grand scheme of things, Connor "brought it on" himself, it was understandable that he would be enraged his daughter was in such danger like that anyway, and react badly.

People are flawed, contradicting, and hypocritical sometimes. He definitely had the worst morals in the movie, regarding the whole situation.

I too found this scene to be hilarious. What a magnificently spiteful thing to do. I can't think of a more juvenile way for her to respond. Perhaps if she had defecated and thrown her feces all over the walls? I don't know if this type of revenge is common in the UK, but if it is then I like your style.

I initially thought she peed in revenge or to mark her territory. But then I was thinking about it more, and I figured she did it out of panic/anxiety. She probably was so shocked that she was going to piss her self, and did it right there on the carpet. There were times that I was so shocked or emotionally overwhelmed that I felt like either vomiting or defecating my pants in an instant.
