Coming to Comedy Central?

Comedy central has just picked up the canceled ABC animation "The Goode Family" and apparently has interest in hidden gem "Sit Down, Shut Up" as well:

"Separately, Comedy Central is in talks to pick up an animated laffer that quickly fizzled out in spring: "Sit Down, Shut Up," the high school-based entry from Mitch Hurwitz that ran on Fox."

That's good news for these two prematurely axed shows. No word if they will produce new episodes, but they look like they are trying to establish their own slate of cartooon comedies. At this point, looks like they are going to have a better animation line-up than FOX... (more diverse anyway).

We can all hope this is true. sigh. this show really found it's stride in the episodes FOX burned off. Pretty funny stuff. Better than The Goode Family either way you look at it but a Mike Judge and a Mitch Hurwitz comedy back to back would be a gold mine for Comedy Central.

Yeah, it's getting close. Especially with "Futurama" coming back next month.

Sit Down Shut Up is ANYTHING but a "hidden Gem". God awful unfunny crap maybe but hidden gem, not a chance.
