I just came back from this movie and it was the funniest damn thing I've seen all year or the past few years for the record. I was laughing consistently and wasn't let down, and I had high expectations. Being a Sandler fan ever since I saw Billy Madison as a child I was reminded of my childhood seeing the Sandman doing what he does best. I hated Jack and Jill and thought his career was done but my faith is once restored. This guy needs to focus on R-rated comedies more, he does it way better than Todd Phillips and the Hangover gang (don't misconstrue my words though, he can make a damn good movie, watch Old School) because he seems to know how to get a laugh out of me at least, whether it be cheap or not. That being said, people are trashing this without even seeing it probably or putting their mind into the film itself way too much rather than enjoying it. It deserves at least a 6 average on here. Does anybody agree or am I the only one?

This movie was awful, and 3.8 is too high.

I'm not the church lady and enjoy many "raunchy comedies." However being raunchy and saying perverse things in itself is not funny. I can't just walk down the street, and scream the f word and sexual innuendo and everyone in my sight and expect big laughs.

Making a truly good comedy takes talent. Sandler does not have it.

And no, he is not on the same planet as Todd Phillips. Phillips actually has talent, Sandler does not.

I agree, this stinker deserves a 2.0 at most, because it is filmed on modern equipment and because there is an abstract value in motion. But only for those reasons and not the poverty of the script or comedy does it not end up getting a 1.0

Seriously one of the worst movies Adam Sandler ever done and that is saying something.

He's being everything that we hate. Not love to hate, just hate. And there's people enjoying this steaming turd? No wonder the world is going down the crapper.

Why would someone who clearly dislikes Sandler go and see this film on the first night or before? Sorry, but this post seems to be BS.

The difference is that they will laugh AT you, not WITH you. A real comedy makes you laugh with it, not at it. Many people would mistake "AT" and "WITH" to be the same, but after a 2nd look, that is obviously not the case.

when it comes to movies or most entertainment in general, it doesnt matter to me if im laughing at or with it.

If something is so bad that its funny, i am just as entertained as if it were just genuinely funny. A lot of this movie was just basic sandler style humour.

this movie was funny and so enjoyable, people just take it as it is, a comedy..just, for, fun. People come up with these big hate speeches about a bloody movie, a movie! why dont they complain about something worth it like war or something. I understand everyone likes different movies but still it can't be that bad if it was a fun movie. An old couple walked out during the scene where adam sandler was masturbating, lol geezzz people are so sensitive these days :P

I'll take '2001: A Space Odyssey', 'Amadeus' or 'Heaven's Gate' over this unfunny, utter s**t any day of the week.

Even a 1.0 rating would be too high. Kudos to RoyWilliamsbeatsCoachK, your post is 110% right on. This movie was pure crap. It should win a Razzie award for every facet of movie making, acting, writing, directing, production, and decency. BTW, all the sickos out there raised the average rating to over 5.

Fahimi, IMDB has been a troll and hater site for years. You should have seen what this site did to "Red Tails" and "The Help" before the movies even opened. IMDB has also allowed the trolls to have a more weight to their vote than even the best IMDB posters. It's ridiculous.

Why? Because racism, prejudice and hatred drives people on both sides to the site. This is the first movie like this in a while that hasn't had a ton of hate-troll posts before the movie opened. Maybe that's why many knew this would be a good movie.

Don't ever trust the IMDB score.

I just wish some more people learned to have fun with movies every once in a while (aside from all the trolls and by-default Sandler haters) but after seeing most of the reviews it seems to be more of a hit or miss comedy with no in between, which is understandable. People have different taste but this film is definitely very undeserving of the hate it's getting. It was way better than The Dictator at least.

This film was great it deserves at least a 6.7/10 because it was very funny & truly entertaining, not everyone like's his style of comedy, but I think everyone loves his charm & style because it's distinctive & his own art of craft for an Actor, this is my opinion if you admire his brand of comedy? Or if you love Sandler? Then You'll Love This! Hands Down!!!

This is by far his most naughtiest & most inappropriate movie I've seen him do in a long time! it reminds me of his 90's era that I truly loved & admirably remembered especially because hes wearing The Wedding Singer wig in this film!

I agree. Obviously it wasn't the best, but it was funny. Then you get these people who don't like it, and they get so offended by their dislike for it and their on here straight after the movie finishes lol
