i mean,im catholic and i dont understand why every jewish parents want their kids 2 marry or date their own kind.lets say if my mom is jewish or my matenrial grandmother is jewish,so do i have 2 marry or date a jew?

Would your parents not prefer that you married another catholic? Or at least another christian? What would their reaction be if you wanted to marry an antheist or a muslim or a jew?
You might respond "my parents want me to marry whomever I want" - well that is what many Jewish parents would say too! Just many would prefer that their children married other Jews.
Some parents might care more than others - most of the Jewish parents that I know would want their kids to marry whomever they fall in love with, regardless of their religion. Others may make a bigger stink out of it.
Why is this so important to many Jews?
Catholicism is just a religion - and there is no shortage of Catholics. Judaism is a religion, a cultural identity, an ethnicity.
There are not many Jews in the world! Jews are 0.2% of the world population. About 13 million worldwide - little over 5 million in USA, little over 5 million in Israel, and the rest scattered around the world, mostly in Anglo countries.
What happens when Jews intermarry? Less Jews.
No no no. The REAL reason that Judaism is such a small and diminishing religion "tmilder" is because of its exclusionary nature, and it's heir of superiority. I was raised catholic, but as I got older I renounced my family's religion and declared myself an agnostic, and now I'm probably becoming an atheist. My family has no problem with my being non-religious and they don't care who I date or end up marrying. I'm white and I don't even date white girls, and my family is very accepting of that s well. And back t religion, you should forget about your religion and all the falsehoods that's been instilled in you by the church, because it's nothing more than blind faith on things that are speculative, at best. People should not let religion define their identity or dictate their lives, that's being trapped in a spiritual prison of the mind.

Orthodox Jews believe that only those born to a Jewish mother are Jewish. In other words, you can't convert and become Jewish. If a Jewish man married a non-Jewish girl, their children would not be considered Jewish. That is why it is so important to many Jews that their sons marry Jewish women.
