.......It was okay. . . I guess

The movie, while very surprisingly long for a low-budget DTV film and featuring some pretty fecal special makeup effects (is it that hard to make a werewolf similar to the ones in the Howling, Wolfman remake is probably the most recent film that successfully captured the more man than wolf look) is better than Neowolf.

Still, Wolf Moon just barely manages to be more of a horror film than Twilight (which is a horror movie of another kind, mediocrity).

But it felt like a bizarre hybrid of a Lifetime Original and a Syfy Original. This probably would have worked out better as a book published by Leisure than a film.

At least Billy Drago was decent as usual. And props for not showing too much of the awful costume work of the werewolves.

Still, a 4/10. . .and that's being fair.

The length was something that bugged me too. The story could have been told in much less time. Though I think for a movie with an obviously basement low budget the werewolves weren't that bad.
I agree that it probably would have made a decent book. And Billy Drago was cool but he always is.
I do find it very interesting that since all the negative reviews have been coming out, this has gotten two more "10" user votes overnight. But I guess they have to try and stick up for their movie in whatever way they can.

4/10 from me as well.
