Hence, "he would probably never see the light of day again."

Unless he could find the exact time the buildings were laced with nanothermite, he couldn't have done much. They were rigged to come down anyway.
Besides, if you warned anybody about it (assuming the people you're warning aren't aware its gonna happen anyway), they would be REAL suspicious of you when it happened.
And yes, there was the incendiary nanothermite in the dust of the WTC. That certainly wasn't planted by Bin Laden or the Taliban. If you don't want to hear a realistic answer to the question, don't ask it.

Good point. But there's no way Lou could know for sure that 9/11 wasn't going to happen no matter how much the timeline had been altered. Terrorists had been planning it for years. They would have found a way to make it happen.
