Nothing wrong with a comedy and this one may be funny for all I know. But I would love to see a serious take on the subject. Something that shows people on all sides of it. Those who have consensual extramarital sex and handle it well and those who it causes problems for. A movie that challenges conventions yet shows the dark side of this type of activity. Instead, it seems like all we'll ever get from Hollywood is a lark.

Eyes Wide Shut maybe. And that was a weird secret society thing. And Unfaithful and Fatal Attraction are movies about cheating and murderous intent. That's not nearly the same thing as an open marriage. I'm talking about consenting adults and the emotional effects for everyday people.

It ticks the box for the emotional effects of everyday people and is quite interesting and amusing in parts. Volume 3 episode 1.

Go watch Shortbus. Probably the most honest take when it comes to sexuality (sraight, bi, gay) and polyamory. Be warned though, the sex scenes are VERY real, hardcore porn real.
