Biggest Problem With This Movie

My biggest problem with this movie was that none of the female stars showed their "goods". And not in a pervy, but a realistic way.

The film is about an Orgy for crying out loud. Yet all the women in the orgy keep their boobs covered the whole time with their arms and elbows. What the h311 is that? I've never been in an orgy, but I have had a few threesomes, and the last thing anybody worried about was vanity.

And if you're thinking "they probably didn't want to ruin their careers" that's BS. Many more famous and accomplished actresses have done it. Julianne Moore, Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway, Kathy Bates, Julie Andrews, Amanda Seyfried, etc. All of these actresses bared all in roles where the nudity was an important appropriate part of the character.

Can't think of a a situation where nudity is more appropriate that an orgy.

They were clearly naked in the pool. Just because we didn't see the "goods" doesn't mean they had some lame orgy without nudity. And that doesn't make it less realistic IMO because this wasn't a porno. This was a group of life-long and close friends who were extremely shy and nervous about the orgy. If you ask me I'd say the amount of nudity they showed was perfectly appropriate considering they were all subconscious (aside from Mike of course) and thus wrapped in blankets throughout the orgy. You need to think of this scene not as just a sexual encounter between partners but as an awkward experience between friends who have never done anything sexual together before.

Angela showed her boobs before the orgy. Does that count?

And if you're thinking "they probably didn't want to ruin their careers" that's BS.

That wouldn't make sense, because Lake and Michelle have gotten naked in another projects.

With all the other nudity from supporting actresses and actors I was expecting that the lead girls would do full frontal nudity, at least showing their boobs. Not just Serafyan.

This was a cowardly way to go by the producers/director.

Is it really? I don't think so.

I'm seeing it as a movie about becoming an adult. It's about finally unequivocally admitting to yourself you're no longer a child and that your best days are probably behind you. That there's no way you're ever going to recapture them. But that it's not the end of the world. That you have your life, your friends and your memories.

It's cinema's equivalent of Springsteen's Glory Days.
