Did anyone wish Ethan and Daryl would've gotten to become friends?

I did and was a little disappointed that you've never gotten to see those two spend time together, I wonder how Daryl would have acted towards Ethan being friendly towards him.

Darryl had the personality of a plank of wood. I actually had to look up in the cast who you are referring to. Why would anyone want to be friends with that guy ?

i thought maybe Ethan being friends with Darryl could lead to Ethan meeting new people and building friendships with them, growing and maturing more.
