Is it true there won't be a 3rd film?

I'm reading on Wikipedia that Bagdasarian Jr. and his wife are filing a lawsuit against Fox. Is this true? The source attached seems sketchy.

As far as we know it's BS. Because the third film already has a name recieved LONG after this supposed law suit was filed.

Perhaps its a different 'Alvin', but there seems to be a movie being filmed at/near the Turtle Bay Resort (Oahu, HI) now and 'Alvin' is how the signs are labeled.

I haven't heard about the file law suit thing, but I did hear about a third sequel getting made. I hope it does cause Alvin and the Chipmunks is a great cute kids' movie.

There was third movie. It was called Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
