This sucked, the SciFi Channel sucks

Although I will say this wasn't as horrible as most SciFi Channel original movies, that isn't much of a compliment. This one was dumb.
1) In order to show that their (untested) teleportation device works, the genius hunk sends a group of half dressed female soldiers around the world as opposed to a lab technician.
2) They miraculously land on flat ground half way through the earth.
3) A first of its kind drilling machine that can carry people is nearby, the inventor is the genius hunk's old girlfriend and the sister of the the leader of the half dressed female soldiers.
Like I said this isn't horrible, just dumb.

It was a heck of a lot better than Raptor Planet of two weeks ago. I could actually see there was an attempt to have a plot in this movie and people were at least trying to act.

Everybody's a critic. ;-)

I agree with you 100% alls the more the pity.

Not to mention, that "first of its kind drilling machine" was completely a rip-off of "The Core". Not sure if there have been others before that movie, but in The Core (which was 2003), they had a drilling machine that was meant to drill to the center of the Earth that was a lot like the one in this film (only a LOT better, in my opinion). What really made me think "rip-off" was when the scientist freaked out about empty space shutting down her machine because of the cold - the exact same situation happens in The Core.

I'll take The Core, hands down, thank you very much - plus, it makes a point to mention Sailor Moon in the movie which gives it an extra point for sci-fi nerdiness :)

Oh everybody stop bitching and moaning, and just enjoy the movie already for what it is. A action movie with beautiful girls, trying to get back home. Geez. I found it very entertaining. And for the guys that are saying these girls wasn't hot...i question you're sexuality.

This was actually a rip-off (or even bad remake) of 'At The Earth's Core' which is a story by Edgar Rice Burroughs (oh, look what name appears in the character list!!) and a film adaptation of the story starring Peter Cushing and Doug McClure. The drill was a rip-off of the drill in that tale as well.

Though that said, it probably does rip-off a few other films. This is an Asylum picture after all.
