why movies like this are dumb

First of all i don't advocate killing animals for sport......that being said i once shot a 10 foot alligator with a 22LR and killed it with one shot.........so it just seems inconceivable to me that 15 or 20 shots from an m16 can't kill a thing about the size of an elephant......dinosaurs, like alligators, would have skin, not krupp armor..............also, i would suggest to anyone to never hire a special effects producer to direct an entire movie.........he is a special effects guy for a reason.........wheeler certainly is NOT john ford, lucas, or pollack by any stretch.........and never will be apparently........i wouldn't even consider him a candidate to become an "opie" howard even with all the hard work howard did to train himself.........in other words there are two kinds of directors........those who are naturals and those who are taught by experience.....wheeler is neither.

Well you have no argument from me about the movie being ridiculous. But in several states it is Illegal to use the 5.56mm round to hunt deer because anything less than a perfect shot wont kill the deer, a decidedly weaker opponent then a hypothetical dinosaur. Even its effectiveness in combat is being questioned (perhaps unfairly) right now, they are considering changing to a different caliber. If you have any interest in ballistics it is an interesting subject. IN any case no predator unless it was sick would behave the the manner they tend to in these movies. The idiots try to portray them as monsters on a revenge trip rather than just a creature looking for its next meal. But we are talking about a movie that thought sending a squad of barely armed women in tank tops to Germany for the hell of it.
