Mandy's Hair Growth

So this really caught me off guard.

At the beginning of he movie, we meet Mandy at 13 weeks preggers with very short hair (too short to pull into a ponytail).

Somewhere in the middle of the film, we see another woman, who looks like Mandy but has hair til the middle of her back. I am confused as to who this woman is until I see Steve holding hands with her and realize, it IS Mandy! By the time she goes into labor she has a ponytail that is bra-strapped length and I'm pretty sure she's not wearing extensions (she just really doesn't seem the type, very natural, no makeup, etc.) and it looks like her hair.

Is it possible she grew 12 inches of hair in less than 9 months (in 27 weeks)???? Sorry, there is much more to the film but by the time I realized this at the end, I couldn't get over it.

The same thing totally happened to me!!! Almost exactly. I finally decided it had to be extensions. Wtf?

I guess its stilly to concern yourself so much with something like that, but it really makes the whole thing weird. Like, is this staged two years after the fact? It doesn't SEEM staged but nobody's hair grows that fast.
