S. Darko - links to WB / CW ?

Could just be a coincidence but I've noticed that a few actors appeared/starred in WB/C.W shows in the past:

James Lafferty - Nathan Scott - One Tree Hill
Ed Westwick - Chuck Bass - Gossip Girl
Jackson Rathbone - Justin - The O.C
Matthew Davis - Alaric - The Vampire Diaries

Again, could just be a coincidence, but S. Darko could have consulted WB for potential actors and these guys were suggested. I'm sure recommendations are made via studios. I saw S. Darko back in 2009 and had never seen any of these shows. It's only now that I'm ploughing my way through them (now on One Tree Hill after being up to date with the rest) that everytime I click on an actor, S. Darko appears.
