Casting Daryl Hannah as the lead sex role. She's apparently supposed to be some sexy lounge singer...but all I can see is big ol man shoulders. Her face isn't bad...for a grandma. She has a semi-youthful looking face and a big potato-sack body that they try and hide in a shawl every scene. And the semi-youthful face is only valid when considering well aged 70 year olds. Really she ruined the movie for me. I'd understand if she had any sort of acting skills...but well...she doesn't. All she adds to this film is flappy ol grandma arms, bad acting, and man shoulders. Boo.

First -- the makeup was terrible... It looked too hard on her face.

Second -- she just isn't an ingenue.

Third -- I think they had to cast a 50 year old to off-set the fact that David Carradine is 70...

To be honest i agree, ive seen her in previous films and thoroughly enjoyed some of her performances but unfortunately in White Crane she is very distracting in her role as she just looks so bizarre.

could of been worse, they could of cast Jessica Alba with Grandfather fetish.

But if you remember, in the film, Darryl Hannah's love interest was not White Crane (Carradine) but rather the Chinese guy "Bingo". Crane was apparently not interested in either Hannah or that Chinese chick. So casting Jessica Alba would not be that bad.

I do not regard Hannah as a flaw in the movie.
