Not Too Bad

Highly reminiscent of portions of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series, so if you didn't enjoy that show, you might feel the same way about this. Lots of psychological tension and questions about identity and humanity.

It had a nice opening CGI sequence but the rest of the movie seems to have been shot in the California woods. The acting serves, the script seems a little forced at points though. In several instances the characters say and do dramatic, overly emotional things for no apparent reason.

I found the plot to be interesting and it kept me watching to the end.

I agree, "not too bad" is a good description. Like a semi-decent episode of outer limits or something. If you enjoy that kinda thing, then you'll enjoy this.

I found the plot interesting enough.

I just wish I understood the plot.
Can someone please sum it up (with the ending), please? Thanks much

i asked philip that question many times, since they had rewritten it a few weeks before we started shooting. i asked him how is it that the virus will help if they cant get off the planet due to the ion storm in the atmosphere killing all electronics going in or out of the planet. what, they're going to build spaceships out of wood and run on steam? (I immediately called that as my idea and if they ever did a sequel i have creative ownership of that plot element)

he told me that the virus was to make them stronger that they could fight he mendax from the homeworld planet

the original ending was much more ambiguous, with us just seeing the canister being thrown, and then fade to black roll credits. which made me think this was one of the coolest stories ever. also bane gets knocked out and possibly killed, so its a little bit more justified ending too

and to prove im not bsing, heres a video i made behind the scenes, pretty funny costume adjustment

sorry the site must ave cleared it or something

Yesss please tell me to lol.

I watched the end again but it still did not help, so were they still on Earth? was that guy their son? was the alien in the mirror thing a Mendex or another alien?

So was the Humans in Earth all under mind control from Mendex but some were sent out to kill off the Mendex on their home world with a virus and then they discover they were sent to future Earth by a rebel Mendex to use virus on Humans to open their minds and enable them to be released from the Mendex mind control?

Gawd I dunno lol

Yeah, found the plot interesting enough. It made be curious, though the acting itself wasnt really good. The plot deserved a higher budget. "Not too bad"
