the malayalam version is way better than the hindi or any other version..... (I've seen about 3 versions.) The dialogues were flawless and you truly felt for the characters portrayed by the barber and his superstar friend; the barber's wife and kids were very good too..
I guess whenever there is a remake of an original movie, it doesn't turn out to be as good as the original (whichever language it is being made in.)
The Malayalam version was much better. This one was just pure crap, everything was so pore and to much. Only good thing in this movie is Laura Dutta and Irrfan Khan, they should give them more time on the screen! They didn't even give them a hole song? In every interview, SRK was saying that he was just a supporting actor and that they are the lead actors. Pure bull!

Just saw Hindi version about a month ago. SRK freaked me out how full of himself is he!! Seroiusly its never been worse than this movie... I love SR but come on why didn't he just play himself in the movie? Wasn't it a little tacky that he was using his own movie posterS? Serously it took away from the movie... they should have just made him playing himself...
btw though - i liked the movie a lot and loved IK in it! I thought the story was great. i have heard the plot of so many malayalam movies and this sounded just like what i expected the plot to be! I would love to see the original now!
