Did anyone read the last volumes of the manga 13-16?

Tokyopop stopped at 12. And I am curious if they ever touch on subjects like what happened to Kouhei's mom, or maybe if he and Hazuki are half siblings? For a show like moon phase that seems fairly popular in the us I am surprised that there is so little information on the conclusion of the manga.

As far as I know, Kouhei and Hazuki fall in love in the end.

Some say the cancellation was due to backlash from that because she's 13 and he's 21.
