What therapist would recommend that a patient carry on with an affair???

He told her it was bringing out a new side to her and that it couldn't hurt to let go, meaning have the affair. On what planet does a THERAPIST tell someone that sleeping with a married ex "can't hurt"? What about the guy's WIFE? What about Jane herself, and the guilt and regret it would cause her?

I agree
Also from what I inderstand therapists don't really give straight forward advice, they try to get the patient to come to a decision by talking it through.

A French one.

Idk I've never been to therapy all though I'm fixing to and was hoping it was like this! Haha, I kid, I kid...

I thought it was what they do, break you out of your shell that you're tired of being in. Now that I rewatched this movie I see how dumb that is. I guess he said that because its a movie.

I've heard that patients fall for their therapist all the time. Its not real though, they just think they are because someone's actially listening. How scary. Okay that had nothing to do with above. Excuse my incoherent babble!

Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.
