...Is that Gu-Nam's jealousy indirectly caused his wife's death. He beat the *beep* out of the Fish company guy without asking questions first. The fish guy then takes out his anger on Gu-Nam's wife, killing her... There's a chance she wasn't even cheating on him and he could have reunited with her if he hadn't been so hot-headed.

Watch the very important scene embedded in the credits. This gives the whole movie a nice twist. And kinda solves your post.
