just too long, too shaky.

otherwise, terrific story, direction and acting.

English subtitles still unavailable?

Agreed. Very drawn out at times and the last 45 mins were a bit of a muddle. Shaving 30 mins of it and removing 3/4 of those shaky cam shots would have done it more justice.

After the chaser I had very high expectations but this just falls short and yes the proper subs are out now.

Just watched it. Was very much looking forward seeing this one. It starts out with lots of potential, but in the end you feel left depressed (that's probably intentional) and unsatisfied.

I think running time was way too long, which would not have been a problem if it would help benefit the story telling. However, a lot of time is wasted with gangsters slashing with knives (which didn't add much to the story)and escapes of some characters which weren't that exciting, because they were so unbelievable. The better parts are were we can feel the desperation and loneliness of the protagonist.

The plot is also a bit simplistic and could have been more engaging. I had some fun watching this movie, but I believe this movie had more potential and needed a better direction. Now the story went all over the place and it made you wonder if they made up the script as they went along filming the movie. Maybe because expectation was a little too high for the second movie by this director after The Chaser. Hopefully, his third movie will be again more satisfying.

It didn't feel too long to me but I'll agree with you on everything else. I'm not one of those people who rant about shaky-cam filmmaking, but it really bothered me in this flick. Otherwise, it was a great watch.

There is shaky cam, and there is unnecessary shaky cam.
This movie has lots of the second.
At the end of the movie I had a headache.

reply

Oh, come on. There was no real "shaky-cam" here overdone like it used to be in some American films. It wasn't even like that in this film. hhhhhh

reply

Yep, 'Too Long and Shaky'... I hear that a lot... 

I now have over 7000 films; many of them very rare and OOP. I LOVE to trade. PLEASE ASK! 
