My Review, there are spoilers

For some reason it kept telling me I had prohibited words, but I couldn't figure out what they were, so I figured I'd just post this on the message and see what people though. So far, it seems to be along the same thinking as me.

So I watched this movie out of my fan girl love of Michale Graves, and
even that can't make me love it. Sorry, maybe next time.

I wanted to give this movie a 7 but I don't think I'm drunk enough for
that right now. While it was decent, good in a few parts most of it
fell flat.

Many of this will probably contain spoilers, you've been warned.

The film is serious is what it is setting out to do. Fine, I
understand, makes perfect sense to me, the problem is, well it's a
zombie like film that is hard to take seriously. And well, we are
talking zombies here.

One of the main things for me this film lacked was atmosphere from the
beginning. I didn't feel I was in this place, the film I don't think
set me up to care what was happening. Daisy already came off as vapid
idiot who looked far too young for the character she was playing, and
neither of the parents, Dwayne and whatever the fodder of the mother
was, were even close to being from Boston or the small town east coast.

The music for the atmosphere was decent, I liked it for the most part,
but I don't think it added anything to it. The classical parts reminded
me of "28 Days Later" and many other horror films. But what got to me
the most was the filters, especially when people were killed. What the
*beep* is with the red over them? It was obnoxious and not needed. The
filters that were used seemed like someone was having to much fun in
photo-shop. This killed much of the movie for me, and had me laughing
my ass off.

Also, no one has a fight or flight response, what they do got is stand
there and screech like an idiot while watching everyone die around
them.

None of the cops are particularly trained to be good cops, also I have
a hard time believing a police station contains just a shotgun and one
pistol.

And the scenes with Eric and Daisy reminded me of the "South Park"
episode where Shelly dates the guy who is 26 or something, and she's
12. I expect Chris Hansen to have something to say about this. Michale
looks great and easily in his 20's, but he looks older next to a girl
who looks about 13 or 14, seriously, how old was Daisy suppose to be?
The flashback scenes make her look like the older sibling and that she
should be 18, and I would of bought that but Daisy's actress looks 14,
there by making me shake my head during the teenage scenes. Not to
mention the rest of her friends looking so young, and again, making
Michale look out of place among them.

Also, who knew people decide the best thing to do while getting
attacked was to wander off on their own and write on bathroom walls.
Smart idea, I think the bitch deserved to die. Also, using the same
tactics to get around that the zombies are doing, is a great way to
live. I want to know where the mom got the great idea to crawl through
the air ducts.

So far, the main redeeming factor for the movie is the decent death
scenes and the gore is done well. My only problem is not enough gore.
Eric's guts getting ripped out of him is the worse of it, and it looks
pretty believable. The rest, is just quick kills, without much scene.
Either give me gore or make it mental, and you didn't do either.

Honestly, this movie could of been better, somewhere during making,
filming, or post production it fell flat. Sadly, I can't even think of
how to make a drinking game to it. "Perkins 14" is a decent length film
at 90 something minutes, and it doesn't feel drawn out at all, a plus
in my books. I was not checking the time to see when it would end, so
if anything, by watching it, your really not losing anything.

Unless you like me and will watch things due to fan girl love, I
wouldn't recommend this movie. It's not bad enough to be cheesy,
laughable and a drunken B movie and not good enough to be something
that actually scares you, which is just a sad case for a movie.
