So What Really Happen At The End? (Spoiler Alerts)

Ok, so I just watched this movie with my mom and we were trying to figure out what really happen at the end.

Spoiler Alert:

I think that Kyle took the gun and shot his sister. My mom thinks he shot himself because he didn't want to kill his sister. For some reason she thinks that he remembers his family but he is only mad at his dad for not saving him. You can't really tell based on the ending of the film, since all you hear is a scream. What do you think?

From my point of view, I'm pretty sure that he shoots his sister at the end, especially since you hear a voiceover from Perkins say, "Hello, everybody: this is Kyle. He's going to be your new friend." It doesn't seem like he would have shot himself, but in the end, I suppose it's just left open to each viewers' interpretation.

I'm a bit sad that the writers decided to resolve the conflict in the most predictable way possible; unfortunately, that's how I guessed it would end from the start. Kinda spoiled what was otherwise a decent little horror flick.

I found this movie very refreshing in the field of horro! No sappy happy ending where he gets nisnmemory back, nope, just reality, on reality if u fed kids PCP and kept them in the dark for 10 years, aint no hope left for em

I got that he shot his sister too. After all that torture and then killing every one in sight, he was beyond personal sacrifice.

He shot his sister, which isn't much of a surprise after he snapped his dad's neck.

Well, considering he takes the gun and it lowers out of frame aiming at her gut, there is a BANG and a scream....what is there to interpret?

Daisy finally woke up, took the gun back, and shot him. Then went around killing off the rest of the feral kids. I mean she had such an awesomely badass outfit, how could she not? :D
