The Global Warming movies are getting EXTREMELY annoying!!!

Like I'm not even kidding. They're starting to get super annoying.

P.S. I've also come to realize that Im the first post :P

Besides this and An Inconvenient Truth, how many are there? I thought it was going to be annoying because it'll probably be preachy, like Happy Feet, which was easily my least favorite penguin movie.

Besides that and March of the Penguins, how many are there? I thought Happy Feet was going to be annoying because it had dancing, like Dirty Dancing, which was easily my least favorite dancing movie.

Talking Heads: "I'm an ordinary guy burnin' down the house!"

reply

1. March of the Penguins
2. Happy Feet
3. An Inconvinient Truth
4. Artic Tale
5. Around the World in 50 Years
6. Crude Impact
7. Ice Age: The Meltdown
8. The Lake House (kinda)
9. A.I. (Kinda)
10. The Day After Tomorrow
11. The Arrival (kinda)
12: The March
13: Split Second

Those are all the Global Warming movies I can possibly remember. But Im pretty sure there are some sort of Made for TV Movie or Movie Shorts about Global Warming.

reply

The films on this list span at least 13 years. Thirteen films in 13 years is not an overwhelming number of flicks. Pretty easy to avoid if you're "extremely annoyed" by the topic. That said, the references to global warming in some of these movies are more incidental (e.g., a plot device) than the focus (e.g., making a statement).

Tho it is dark . . . know our flag . . . is still there.

Surf's up (the best) and the penguin and the pebble are penguin movies.

Talking leg: "You're pullin' me!"

reply

Global Warming is an important issue so why not take it into this medium?

reply

Oh, maybe because it's a huge hoax and a bunch of bullsh!t.

You are in denial.

Lakeview Terrace - 9/10

Oh goodness, you have suddenly challenged me with that adroit rejoinder. What will I do now? Yawn.

You can debate the *impact* of global warming if you like, but you can't dispute that it is happening. The increase in temps over the past century is well documented.

reply

The increase of global temperatures over the last million years is "well documented". No one is arguing about what the global temperatures have been, although over the last 10 years it has been falling. Oops, what now?

What we are talking about here is *causation*, and *impact*. CO2 doesn't drive temperatures higher... higher temperatures drives up CO2.

Movies that portend dire catastrophes because of temperature fluctuations are both stupid and irresponsible, as is the party line that CO2 concentrations drive temperatures.

It's about the money dude, that's what cap and trade is all about. Al Gore sucks balls

Global warming itself is getting annoying. I'd rather see an end come to that, than see an end come to the movies warning the people who still don't get it.

reply

STFU already, it's actually getting cooler where I am so you'll have a very hard time selling this BS about global warming to us

I run around in circles, it is my metaphor

reply

Lucky you! It's getting progressively warmer and more humid where I live, so you STFU. Don't think only of yourself!

reply

LOL, you are being deceived. It is pure arrogance to believe mankind is causing the climate to change. It has changed for millenia, will do so again no matter what we do. We cannot change the weather patterns. Many corporations stand to make trillions off of green policies. Do not trust all you read or hear, I do not. I research many sources, not just the ones who stand to benefit from worldwide carbon omission policies. If you are a true environmental activist, you would give up all that has to do with oil consumption and manufactured products. I know this will not happen.

Climate Change, Global Warming, Global Cooling, etc...is fear mongering at it's most depravity. I do think less pollution is a good thing, but I do not think we are causing climate change. The environmentalist wackos keep changing the name of this crisis to suit the climate at the time of their dire warnings. Smells funny to me

Fine. But global warming was only one issue addressed in the movie, and it wasn't even the most prominent one. What about oil spills, whaling and over fishing, garbage polluting the oceans and waterways, etc? Not to mention the themes of friendship and loyalty being promoted in this CHILDREN'S ANIMATION. Are those all Al Gore illusions and pointless themes?
