Much better than the recent film

Just watched this on Youtube, it's everything that the film The Iron Lady wasn't.
A well-directed and compelling drama that grips throughout, a fascinating and clearly presented production.

I completely agree I recently just watched this on youtube and really enjoyed it.

Totally agree, hundred times better than The Iron Lady.

Agree. Though Meryl Streep did a superb job of capturing Thatcher's mannerisms, voice and look. Lindsay Duncan did well too but is not in the same league as Streep. The difference is Duncan had much better material to work with and a better supporting cast - everybody is at least very good and some superb.

Also - this film focused on just a few days [plus flashbacks] while the Iron Lady foolishly tried to cover too much.

I was 15 when Thatcher came to power and 26 when they turned on her. Though the film perhaps tries to evoke some sympathy for Thatcher I have none. She got exactly what she deserved - indeed she got off lightly.

We could do with a 10 part series going year by year through her premiership and ripping off the layer of lies and propaganda.

Many of the UK's current ills can be traced to her legacy. She and Reagan really are two of the biggest criminals of the post WWII era.
