Is anyone else enjoying Season 3 alot more?

I watched the first and second season, and I thought they were just ok, like something to pass the time, but I caught up with the first 4 episodes this season and I'm like wow. Its just different, Im enjoying everyone's storylines, its funny, compelling, and I really enjoyed the ending of the premiere with Ray and Tanya in the car.

I feel the exact same way. I'm definitely sensing an upkick in quality this year!

the last episode(oct 30) was the best since the premier 2 years ago.

I agree about last episode, it was pretty good. I also loved Ray and Tanya freaking out about getting beaten up by that guy

Yeah, this season's been good. The opening episode with the loan officers was funny, then following that up with Ray hooking up with his former student was interesting, followed by Ray getting "arrested" by the female cop. Not to mention Ray has competition from the young stud, who is getting pushed around by Lenore, and then there's Ray's ex-wife and kids to add to the mix. Good stuff.

Agree with everyone above, this season is remarkably improved from the past two. I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

The producers obviously took notice of the complaints from critics and viewers alike about the too slow pace, lack of story progression and off-putting behavior of prominent characters that made watching the previous seasons almost unbearable.

Last sason, it made no sense to see middle class slumps Tonya and Ray risking jail to run what amounted to a spectacularly unprofitable sex shop.

It was annoying to see Tonya never grow emotionally or professionally and remain the dithering, doormat, loser she was from the beginning.

Nobody cared about the tacky symbolism of Ray trying to repair his cheesy house at the same time that he tried to rebuild his messed-up life.

His kids, who are obnoxiouly self-involved, intellectually vacant, humorless and seriously unattractive - in other words, totally devoid of any redeeming traits - were for some reason, constantly shoved down our throats as if the show's producers thought they were interesting and not repugnant.

And the producers couldn't make up their minds about Jessica. Was she so shallow and stupid that we were supposed to think Ray was lucky to be rid of her or was she simply misunderstood?

Ray and Tanya in the cop car was hilarious.

It's great. I was never a Thomas Jane fan, but now I see it's just his films that did nothing for me. But Hung is freaking fabulous and so is Jane.
