Surely the whole point of having these was to represent three different generations and different styles. If you want to watch a group people run up and down the guitar shaft and not actually play anything, just show off, then go to any guitar shop on a Saturday afternoon.
shareHaving a "shredder" would've filled the requirement of having a guitar player from a different generation with a vastly different style. That being said, I thought the three they had in the film were a good selection, even though I don't listen to The White Stripes or U2.

Exactly. People who want shredders haven't yet realized that musical masturbation is boring. I don't care much for U2 or White Stripes, but I enjoyed this doc. It would be interesting if they were to ever form a side band together.
