Anyone thought for a second that the tv show was fake?

I dunno, sometimes I just think that Bailey had already been chosen way before and they just created this whole reality show just to promote the musical and just so we get some kind of connection with Bailey so that we get to know her and eventually like her enough to go see the show live.

This is just what I think. I'm not hating on the musical or anything. I do think this show is great. I first discovered it when they performed Omigod on The View a long time ago then was so excited that it aired on MTV. I was able to record it in great quality on my computer so that I can watch it over and over again. I do plan on seeing it live someday and I bought the soundtrack on iTunes. So I'm a fan of the whole thing. Please no negative replies, lol.

But yeah, what do you guys think?

I prefer to be less of a cynic. Seth Rudestsky has talked about the show on the radio, he described it as about 40% real. Meaning, they did manipulate what the audience saw but not the outcomes.

IDK, I remember when those spoilers were going around saying Lauren won they said something like this but I'm not sure if it's true though since she didn't win.

I think most of these "reality competition" shows do have a predetermined outcome. Producers want good "television". This is pervasive all over t.v. The guy that won Groomer of The Year on Groomer has it was in the business two years and beat out a guy who was in the grooming business for 15 years? How is that possible? Interesting back story. I still wish Bailey luck in her career, but I still believe Autumn was a much better singer.

it was pretty obvious from the beginning that Bailey was the judges favorite, so you might be right. I ever remember Jerry Mitchell calling her out in the very first dancing audition where they were cutting girls left and right and he told her that she danced w/ her mouth open but didn't cut her. and then the judges said they liked her and the fact that she wore leg warmers or something. and that was when there were like 25 girls left.

The only reason it looks kinda fake is because of how they edit the show, if you read the blogs that the girls have on Iamonmtv.com, they clear some of the weird things that they showed. Especially Lauren's blog.

I think it was just how they edited it but I always take the reality in reality shows with a grain of salt.
