Meet Jo De La Rosa, Virgina Megastore 8/20/08

Jo De La Rosa will celebrate the release of her highly anticipated debut
album "UNSCRIPTED" with a special in-store guest DJ appearances at 6PM
on August 20th at the Virgin Megastore at Hollywood and Highland. Jo
will greet fans and autograph copies of her debut CD on immergent
Records and also will be a guest DJ where she will play cuts of her
album, among those tracks will be the new hit single "U Can't Control
Me" which also serves as the theme song for Jo's new Bravo TV show "Date
My Ex".

Her "highly anticipated" album? HAHAHAHAHA. The only thing anyone's anticipating is the day Jo discovers Proactiv and shuts the hell up. Oh boy, this is one of the funniest posts I've read in a while.

I haven't watched this show much but tell me, does she actually make her own music or is this a case of just another girl who can sing that has everyone else making her music for her by "hitmakers" and then claims to be so talented.

You're giving her way too much credit. She can't sing. Which is why you never see a Jo de la Rosa video on MTV. There's no way any producer will ever make her sound marketable. You can't polish a turd.

I'll differ on the singing part. The theme song to her compost pile of a reality show is kinda catchy in a bubblegum, re-generated kinda way. But....

If any more than 15 people show up (not counting the 30 balding, pudgy single men) for this "signing" session, I'd be floored.
