I only learned 4 things from watching Downstream

1-when making a generator run on human blood, you have to keep the whole corpse on the generator
2-After eating human burgers, the next day you are so starving you have to eat your dog
3-Being a kingpin in a post apocalyptic world is the only way you can have ketchup
4- squirting acid in a guys eye will make him hunt you down and kill you (and the little doggie too)

He did eat the dog. Thats why was it was roasting on a spit over a fire. And why he was sitting beside it licking his fingers

Granted, it may not have been the next day after the people steak, but the dog got roasted. And so close to the emerald city...

1. Modern clothing will be replaced by tacky vests and puffy shirts.
2. When the supply of women is being exhausted, the logical thing to do is to abuse them and pimp them out to the degenerates of society, not keep them safe and only allow the genetically superior to copulate with them.
3. Living in the desert is the best thing to do in a post oil peak world.
4. Robots will kill your one chance of sanctuary.

You're forgetting the first rule!

1: If you want to get ahead in a post-apocalytic world, don't forget your home made spikey shoulder pads.

Someone actually wrote something on his website about the movie. If you haven't watched it yet, It doesn't seem to spoil too much

i like that review. It sums up what the movie's about. And it explains why most people wouldn't be able to build communities.
