Liked it better than the foreign movie

Sorry. Maybe in the minority here but I thought the American actors did a much better job.

Generally agreed. But don't forget, Kodi Smit-McPhee is Australian. Hard to tell, eh?

Edit: Oops, and Elias Koteas (the cop) is Canadian, Ritchie Coster (PhysEd teacher) a Brit, etc.

You are very unlikely to be in the minority that likes Let Me In when you are posting on the Let Me In board.

Just saying.

I agree. (Though as Cass pointed out, half of them weren't from the US) But I don't hold it against the Swedish movie so much since they may not have had a choice but to hire novice actors for the main child roles. McPhee and Moretz were just more seasoned actors.

I recently saw a clip of comedian George Carlin talking about how he felt so out of his depth when he did his first acting job in the 1960s. He was under the impression that he could do it easily but found out that it requires training just like any other job.

i am a fan of the remake "let me in". i have been a fan since i first watched it 3 years ago. I just saw "let the right one in" for the first time a couple of days ago. I really tried to like the original movie. for the most part I found it quite boring.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I really liked LTROI but I slightly prefer the remake. The look, the acting etc. LTROI is really good though but can be a bit slow in some scenes.

It retained the subtlety of the original

IMO it was too over the top (which applies to a lot in LMI) with heads flying at the camera and everything.
