Difficulty?

I've played most of the Spyro games, and I own the first two of the new!Spyro series.

But is Spyro:Dawn of the dragon, impossibly difficult or with irritating parts that are basically impossible to get past because it's difficult? IE: The pirate arena in The Eternal Night?

Ive played a few hours of TEN and havent picked it up since. There was too many enemies in certain parts that kept respawning and making it very hard to do anything and enjoy the game, because of the near constant fighting. I dropped the game once I reached the pirate arena. Spyro is out today, but I dont want to waste $90 on it if its the same difficulty as TEN or worse. I love every bit of the game to bits.

It is pretty difficult, but not as much as The Eternal Night; I haven't even completed TEN yet.

Seriously, though: Get Dawn of the Dragon. FREE FREAKIN' FLIGHT.

Kid, kids! Come, take a look...

What I'm finding so hard is how it's not even vaughly obvious what you're supposed to do. Everything seems trial and error? Maybe I'm just stupid.
I've not played the first two in this series, however. I am finding that the amount of enemies drains the fun from this game.

Ahah! My presumption(s) are right. In the first game, the amount of monsters was alright, as they did not keep spawning over and over, they weren't that difficult so if there were a lot of them you didn't get KO'd easily. The second game, though? A lot worse, monsters were very hard from the beginning and needed trial and error to actually kill them sucessfully only for a monster replacement or a hidden monster that can KO you in two to three hits. Too many monsters, too much damage by them + constantly spawning monsters = killed the fun in the game.

I won't be getting this game, definitely!

I find this game almost impossibly hard at points and it causes me great frustration sometimes (to the point that I only just picked it back up after having not played since around February) but I really want to know how it ends. That is the only thing keeping me going...
