an excellent documentary

I saw this film today in Manhattan and it is excellent.

Agree, this film definitely stays with you. My one complaint is that I wish the director had done a better job of showing the Vogel's apartment. There is no way the contents of a one-bedroom apartment will fill four or five moving vans. They must have had some of the art -- especially the constructions -- in storage somewhere. I would have appreciated some overview shots that would have given the audience a better sense of the space.

There were some wide shots of the apartment, and there were piles of all sorts of stuff everywhere. You would be amazed at how much clutter can fit into a hoarders apartment. While this was not "clutter," and it was art... they had it all in there apparently.
I think the documentary would not fabricate anything. If some pieces were in storage, the filmmakers would have noted that.

Two of the artists talked about work being stacked under the bed. The second, Chuck Close. said, "The bed kept getting higher and higher as they stacked more work under it."

Ever seen "Rape of Europa"? You'd be surprised how big some of the shipping crates used to transport valuable works of art are. It wasn't the art itself, but the packaging, that took up so much room.

Yep, fo' shizzle! Nice review here, too --->

I love movies made about eccentrics who love the way they are, what they do or collect, etc.

I am looking forward to seeing this film, very very much.

Kinda surprised not to see more about it here in IMDb.com.
