Good Until (Spoilers)

I enjoyed the movie a lot for the most part; I actually really liked the idea of making the kidnappers the main characters and it had an interesting concept, plus, I loved Ben <3 Good character IMO, especially for some B-Movie.

Anyways, when Ben was killed off, I was just beyond annoyed. I HATE when horror movies kill off the one likeable character for the stereotypical final girl..... At the very least have the bad girl live if Ben had to die, but instead we get the badly acted, whiny, screaming bimbo for a lead (not that I was surprised) She was my least favorite of the film, so having her accidentally kill Ben and then live just upset me to no end.

I so agree! First of all I was irritated by the girl's loud as- breathing when she was apparently hiding; like you won't be found if you're breathing as heavy as she was! Then if I understood correctly, was Ben the one who took the blame for whatever mistake she was whining about at the beginning of the movie-the 10 mil dollar mistake? So instead of her getting fired (but instead kidnapped so it didn't matter) he got fired? So I was really not happy with the fact that after that whole thing with her letting him take the fall and getting fired, then he trying to stick around to make sure she got away, and finally he gets killed by her?! Unbelievable!

Yeah! Ben was the one who took the fall for that annoying bitch before the film started (unwillingly, no less) And then he stays around anyways to TRY and save her life and she kills him by being a moron.

I was so pissed. I like to think he somehow could still be alive since the wound really wouldn't be all that fatal. X___X But yeah, the main girl was awful.

I agree 100% about the "final girl" part in horror movies. It's been done to death (no pun) and frankly it's gotten boring and predictable. In the case of this movie my hatred for that whiny chick grew as the movie progressed but I knew she would be the final girl. I was hoping against hope that she would get it but alas my hopes were dashed. A much better ending would have Ben snap and kill her after everything he'd done for her. Now that would be satisfying... and different.

Nope, this movie followed the same old boring formula. *sigh*

I agree with the OP but at that point when Ben died, I was soo frustrated with were the film was going it didn't matter anymore.

Yes, I was sorry to see Ben get killed, too. He was an interesting, complex character for this type of movie, and AJ Bowen is always great to watch. He's generally likable, even when he's playing a bad guy (maybe not so much in You're Next, but usually ...).

I'm guessing no AJ in the sequel, if there is one.

Otherwise, this was a fairly good movie, but the ending was frustrating - just way too abrupt.
