Similar to 'Earthstorm'

This looks similar to a SyFy Channel movie called Earthstorm. Moon gets hit by asteroid, scientists discover it will break apart and shower the Earth with meteorites and debris and kill everyone, and demolitions expert Stephen Baldwin goes to the moon to try and "weld" it back together. This came out in 2006, and I found it fun to watch, if equally improbable.

I started watching this movie. Despite some cheesy CGI effects like the ship with the train carts on it, it's a decent movie. It's not cheesy or hammy like a lot of SyFy's flicks.
