USA! USA! USA! ......saves the world by sheer patriotism, pseudoscience and dumb Hollywood actors .... again. Mostly by patriotism. Please stop repeating this film Channel 5, UK.

Just caught the last 10 mins. Good god these people can't act. Are they supposed to be happy that the world is saved. Judging by their stilted, indifferent expressions, I'm really not too sure.

Think they were trying to push home the uncertainty of what had just happened. Ie: the Moon breaking in half.

Think whoever watched it, had maybe just watched 10.5 Earthquake thing where a new Island is formed off California and then in the sequel with the awfully shakey cameras and the sickening zoom in zoom out when the USA get's broken in 2 and everyone spends the film near tears for no particular reason...

oddly it was a German-Canadian co -production

If I am not mistaken, it was an American made device launched with a Russo-European rocket and lander. IIRC the control room was supposed to be in Germany.
