I was just in Universal Studios a couple weeks ago and went on this ride and absolutely loved it. While I dont hate the simpsons, I just never was a big fan of the show so I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it. The line was 40 minutes long, but placed throughout the line were televisions everywhere playing the funniest clips from various episodes seasons of the show. It was quite entertaining.

As for the ride itself, it was hilarious, fun, cute, you name it this rides got it. I was dissapointed that the back to the future ride was gone but this is a great replacement for it.

I give this ride a A-. I recommend it.

Myself and my parents got back from Orlando 2 weeks ago. Our first trip to Universal Studios in 1994 we all rushed to get to the BttF ride because we all love the movies, when i heard that it was closing and that it was being replaced by The Simpsons, even thought i'm a huge Simpsons fan i wondered if i would enjoy the ride as much as BttF.

So when we got to U.S this year I made a dash to The Simpsons to find a really long wait time (10 Minuets), the screens around the waiting area are great, seeing all the characters from the show in various parts of KRUSTYLAND was ace. The map of "The Park" in the entrance is also great.

Once the ride started it was an absolute blast from start to finish, my dad and I both said, when we got off the ride, we've never had so much fun on a theme park attraction before. We were laughing the whole time. The parodys of various Disney rides were histericle, the Pirates of the Carribbean one in particualr. We liked it that much that we rode it again straight after.

So even though i was annoyed that BttF closed, i'm so happy that it was replaced by a fantastic ride that certanly lives up to expectation.

A deffinate recommendation to any fan of The Simpsons show or a Theme Park Fan in general.

As a fan of the Simpsons I had the notion that the Simpsons in ride form would be a hit with the crowd and it is to a certain degree but come on, replacing a 'timeless' classic such as BTTF with this?

This Simpsons ride experience could've very easily been installed into the system where the Funtastic World of Hana Barbera was and still would've been able to deliver the thrills WITHOUT us having to give up our BTTF ride.

I like both but if I had to make a choice I'd still take BTTF any day.

Today there are fanatics who buy Deloreans just to customize them as BTTF cars, complete with flux capacitors, and there is even a fella I spoke with recently who is building his own version of the BTTF ride, complete with IMAX film, flight simulator lift and the whole nine yards, all out of devotion to the BTTF-R experience. I don't see that kind of popularity and devotion being generated by Simpsons, as yet anyway.

The Simpsons ride may be providing a sense of freshness to Universal for the time being but don't be too surprised though, to see the ol' BTTF pavillion fitted with perhaps a new BTTF experience complete with new storyline and new characters mixed in with some of the most prominent existing BTTF characters sometime in the not too distant 'future.'

Yes the ride is ok but it really isn't any better than BTTF. I'm sure Fox loves making money from all the merchandise that is sold. The series is going to be cancelled within the next few years and I'm sure it will be replaced.
