Excellent Movie!

Wow, what an amazing story! I never knew about the story of Delimar Vera until now. I'm happy that Luz Cuevas was able to find her daughter after such a long time and I applaud her for her determination. Also, I thought Judy Reyes did a great job in this film and I thought she was the reason why this film was so enjoyable. So, what did you guys think of this movie?

It was ok..but they could have been more detailed about what happened before the kidnapping. And I wish they had stuck to the facts more..instead of trying to make it more dramatic. The original story is amazing enough without them changing it. I did think the acting was pretty good though. I guess I just thought it would be more accurate & detailed.

I'm watching it now, and I've never heard of this story before. As a Mom, this is heartbreaking. I can't even imagine her pain. But now I'm curious, what details are they skipping or overdramatizing?

I don't know many details of what they are skipping, but one thing is that Luz spoke very little English, and Delimar spoke no Spanish. So the reunion had to have been strained at some level due to the language barrier.

I agree whole heartedly. This tugged at my heart so much, it was brilliant. Well acted I thought.

Just as I started to watch this movie, it struck me that i've heard about this story before. I even went as far as telling my husband what happened because somehow I remembered it. He thought for sure I was thinking of the movie with Michelle Pfeiffer. I told him, "watch, this is what's going to happen!" We watched it and even though I knew the outcome, I was still emotional about it. Though they didn't get to go into too much detail about the story, Judy Reyes and the directors brought emotion into it and it was wonderful

I thought it was an awesome movie and yes Judy did a great job but I was mad at the end after finding out that the kidnapper got a light sentence

I thought it was very good to. But i was alittle confused as to why did Valerie steal Delimar? They never made it very clear, or maybe I just spaced it alittle. Anyone know why?

I missed the first minute or so. Then I figured this must be happening in Texas or something because everybody looked Hispanic. After I saw a police car that said Philadelphia on it, it hit me that it happened here, and I remebered the story very well. It amazed me at the time and it was very gratifying to see this movie of it.
