Saturated fat is necessary in a healthy diet

This film is wrong on this point. Good quality saturated fat from meat (grassfed-organic at best), coconut oil, nuts etc. is probably some of the healthiest food you can eat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturated_fat

And also too many apples are unhealthy. They are full of sugar. Don't get fooled! Stick to the green juices asap after starting with fruits.
It is proved that people eating just vegetarian food actually loosing brain size and many get depressed, because they don't get all the important 28 amino acids, we only get from eating meat. Though compared to the horrible "normal" american diet, anything else is better and juicing is a terrific way to start a healthier life!

America is a free country (as stated in the video), yea right....The people are in full control from the rich powerful men, who is only thinking of earning even more money. The food industry is set up to have control over the people, who just get dumber, sicker and fatter. Then the pharmaceutical industry can sell all the unnecessary pills to get richer. People are on drugs and have no control.
The bankers are stealing your money. The politicians are controlled too. Free county. BS! The country is just a big sick nation. I hope for a big change, but it is not to peoples interest!

Joe did not suggest juice fasting as a permanent diet. He did it for 60 days WITH a doctor's supervision. His diet now is still primarily plant based, but he does eat some animal protein. As he says in the film, he looks at the juice fast as a reboot of his system.

Humans do not need to eat meat (beef, pork). Fatty fish, like salmon, is good in that it contains mainly the good kinds of fats (omega 3) with just a tad of saturated fat.

Besides, we now know that beef (or at least the not-so-lean cuts, which is what most people eat) causes cancer.

Eating low on the food chain has long been known as the way to good health. The higher up in the food chain you go, the more icky stuff you ingest (toxins).

But ditto the prior post - juicing was a kickstart to changing a lifestyle and not a recommended eating plan for life.

Not so sure that too many apples are unhealthy. Yes, they have sugar, but they are not "full of sugar," I'd say. And because they are high in fiber, that counteracts some of the sugar. I can say with absolute certainty that there have no studies indicating too many apples are unhealthy, or even a notation of someone who got obese or an illness (diabetes, skin condition, whatever) from eating too many apples. Unless they were allergic to them, of course.

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away."

As for amino acids...those are acquired by mixing proteins with carbs to make complete proteins (beans + brown rice). There is one amino acid difficult to get enough of, I've read. Easy enough to take an amino acid capsule daily, to be sure. But MOST PEOPLE DON'T GET THE NUTRIENTS THEY NEED FROM EATING THE MODERN DIET, so I don't know why you're angry that vegetarians may not get that one amino acid. As for big pharma, this film was about getting off meds.

This post is very late to the party, but beef does not cause cancer. Eating beef is ASSOCIATED with cancer. What does that mean? Well, it means correlation, which does not imply causation. People who eat lots of beef tend to eat lots of junk food, not exercise, smoke, and drink lots of alcohol.

Totally agree. Animal proteins are necessary.
