Seagal is prefered over many STV actors. Seagal's movies are much more intense in terms of fighting. Im' sorry, but what does jason statham do? seagal has too many fans, believe it or not. He and Stallone are the best at what they do cause they're older, and still kick serious ass no matter what. Where will jason statham be when he's 57?

reply

lol seagal is one *beep* up actor ever exited in the Hollywood industry, no one can touch the fat bastard, not even get within 25 feet range of him, hes a joker and all his movies are April fool jokes, i bet 99% of you will agree!

reply

There are many people that don't want to see any more Seagal films made but all of you who think that are dead wrong. Seagal is very profitable to producers. His direct-to-TV (DTV) movies garner a wide cult following. And globally I might add. It doesn't matter how bad his recent films have been, the paper trail leads to profit with Seagal. If I could pony up the money for a Seagal film I would. It's like banking on a safe stock during anytime - the good times or a recession. That's right, Seagal is like the Canadian bank, TD. Profitable through good and bad times.

I personally have not like any of his movies since Under Siege, but that is my personal opinion and by no means an attack on Seagal or his legion of fans. So, to all of you who loathe Seagal and want him out of Hollywood - the guy has the Midas touch. Look at the profits.

Seeing as my other post was deleted - can I just say I'm a big fan of Seagal - Nico was one of my faves. But the problem is he can't do anything but an action flick and the age he is now, well, let's just say he would be able to travel for free on the buses in England! If he could adapt to other roles then fine but can you see Seagal trying to be serious!?

Let's not forget his lines - one of my faves - "You're shot!", "What!? You think I'm shot? This ain't being shot!". Classic!

Well, Bronson and Eastwood did creditable action films well past Seagal's age. So just getting old isn't a reason someone can't do action films. In fact, Seagal is the same age as the star of the huge action hit, Taken, Liam Neeson. So enough with the crap about his age. If you have to rag him for shallow things that don't have to do with the quality of his movies, you could rag him for gaining weight or often giving disinterested performances. But the age thing is just a stupid criticism.

reply

who gives a ''beep'', whether hes 60 or 58, hed still beat the living crap outta all of todays pussie ass action stars like Christian Bale, Matt Samon, pancy Daniel Craing etc.

reply

Am I the only one getting the impression Seagal was dubbed the whole movie? his voice sounded much darker and deeper than usual and not like he usually does. Wouldnt that be quite cool btw? he got a stunt double and they just edit his "fight" scenes and now he doesn't even speak himself.

_______
"if seagal was thinner this could have been a theatrical product."

seen this last week was pretty good could of been more fight scenes hopefully the keeper will excell in this department

Listen - what I was saying is that it's watching him fight at his age is like watching two OAPs having sex - it's just very embarrassing.

And to put Seagal in the same sentence as Clint is just wrong - very wrong.

I'm not saying his age or weight has anything to do with his films being *beep* but they don't help.

He never kicks? Apparently you haven't seen many of his films because he does plenty of kicking. He's not Van Damme who developed a style dominant of kicking, but he uses it quite often.

And as you've displayed clear ignorance on Seagal and his high rank in Aikido, yet have chose to attack it, I'll be the first to say that in Aikido you don't kick. You don't hit. It can be incorporated and chances are you will end up using punching and kicking, but when uki is taught aikido there is no session on kicking, on punching, and certainly nothing aggressive. It teaches you how to defeat a kick, a grab, a punch. If you choose to counter with a punch or kick, that is up to you. But traditional aikido does not teach kicking.

And I guess you said it best you referenced him being 60...and he'd still kill you. And me. And likely anyone he wishes. Then apologize for losing his cool. Then make another film and dry his tears with $100 bills.

note:Seagal is not dubbed in the movie except for about 6 lines in the beggining he is just dooing a heavy russian accent.

-signature coming soon-

But what about Jeff Speakman. Probably the biggest unsung action hero ever, with the possible exception of Jeff Wincott.

I felt the same way about Brian Bosworth.

THIS movie, on the other hand, FREAKIN' RULES!
