Wrong casting

I have an issue with what I feel is an otherwise a good movie. I think Worthington and Csokas should have switched roles. They look more like their opposite older character than to their own older character. This actually had me a little confused early when watching the film until I caught on later. I had no problem with Chastain playing the younger Mirren as she does have a similar face shape.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I came here just to see if someone else had pointed it out.

Actually I had no problem with the casting and Worthington did a great job with this vulnerable character (have you listened to the commentary?) as did Csokas with his part. Switching the roles would be a bad thing.
Also the older actors match quite well. It's not only about looks but attitude. The casting director did a good job too.
How could so many get confused? The characters are introduced early on.

I completely disagree. Csokas looks more like Ciaran Hinds than Worthington does. Hair color and eyes are very similar.

reply

It isn't about looks, not in my opinion at least. Actually you can't really see Worthington's got blue eyes anyway.
Worthington and Hinds share this calm/ reserved behaviour (aloofness) - minus the attack obviously. Whereas Csokas and Wilkinson are blunt and outspoken. I'm thinking of the scene when Stephan asks Sarah who this good looking guy is on the cover of her book, something David never would have done.
I stand by my first post, for me the casting works.

I still stand by my post and *beep* agrees.

What does *beep* stands for?

OK, I don't want to argue, I merely wanted to express my opinion.

Yes, they was.

I agree completely. In fact, at first, I thought I had mixed up the two as I was watching. It's so strange that casting could not see how much better that would've been.

The whole movie was a disappointment. Mossad agents would never act so unstable and bungle everything so much.
