It also seems to take away from the scene (or entire film for that matter) where the evil nazi guy is trying to rile up one of the english looking blokes with his 'I was messing with your peoples' trash talk. They did the same crap with Munich too.

Adam Goldberg has a mother of non-Jewish, English, Irish, German, etc. (German through the matrilineal line, btw), ancestry, so I would imagine he could look somewhat different from the full-blooded Jews you mentioned, yes.

He looks mostly like his dad but the point is you will not mistake this person for a German or English dude, confusing movie viewers. Plus he is pretty well known, established actor they could have used.

Chastain certainly can pass for Jewish, as can the other two younger actors. Sorry that the producers didn't pick actors who fit the stereotypes of what Jews must look like. But a lot of Jews don't fit the stereotype of what Jews look like.

shareI think the OP meant, should Mossad agents be Isreali's? People from a small middle eastern country who are generally dark haired, and olive skinned. However. Any jew can move to Isreal, and then be required to serve in the armed forces. If her mother died in Germany during the war, she probably wasn't born in Isreal, and can look however they cast the part.
