Glad To See Mr. Scott's On The Rise

Man, I've really been pulling for this guy for a couple years now. My friends and I have been following his track record ever since King of the Lost World. Even though some of the films were iffy the direction style was always impressive and this just shows it is possible for talented people to move up in the movie biz clusterf**ck. Seeing as how The 9/11 Commission Report was his best to date I'm curious to see if this one tops it. Good times.

reply

People like Leigh Scott ARE the reason for the movie biz *beep* Im sorry but everything he has ever worked on is an abomination, in more ways than one. For every "film" he gets to direct means one less film a talented person trying to move up in the business gets to be a part of. Good Times.

reply

In more ways than one? What does that mean?

Great to hear someone who doesn't know me or my work has such a strong opinion.

His latest film is described as 'The Birds' meets 'Cabin Fever'

Can't wait!

Y'know what I can't wait for? I can't wait for Leigh Slawner to finally admit that he's really a goldfish.

When one of Leigh Scott's movie trailers says "Coming to a theater near you,"
MOVE.

Leigh Slawner only happened because Chuck Norris was taking a nap.

reply

So far I've seen broadsides from two people who apparently have something personal against the director. This is a movie board; how's about providing a little substantive discussion of what's right or wrong with the MOVIES instead of blatant ad-hominem attacks?

If you'd been on this site before Leigh established his reputation as a d-bag, you would know that the few who see the truth have already said time and time again that his movies suck hard. We've written all the reviews of his movies(except for the butt-licking ones). Check 'em out.

How do I know the ones who've "said time and time again that his movies suck hard" know what they're talking about? If I check out the reviews are you so sure I'll agree with them? It doesn't seem to me that everyone on here dislikes him or his movies. Can you name me one movie about anything, directed by anyone, that EVERYONE hates? Having been around IMDB for a long time, I doubt it.

And you're glad to know Mrs. Scott will eventually die? Why? Was there some chance she wouldn't? Who doesn't? But why bring the man's wife into this? Oh, are you trying to be cute--or worse, insulting--by calling him a woman?

It's not up to me to go somewhere to read reviews to help you prove your point. I invited you to discuss the movies, instead of attacking the director. So far, you don't seem much inclined to do it. Got any real points to make?

The ones I refer to are the people that have actualy watched his movies and witnessed how crappy it is. If you check out the reviews I know you won't agree with them because well, you haven't agreed with anything I've said ever. I know there is no movie that everyone hates (I, for one, really liked Epic Movie), but that doesn't stop me from hating Leigh Slawner's movies.

As for the Mrs. Scott reference, you obviously haven't been on IMDb long enough, or at least if you have, you haven't been on Leigh Scott boards at all. In his 'movie' Transmorphers, there is a lesbian officer that everyone refered to as 'sir'. This is because 'sir' is a term of authority, but Mr. Scott gave the so wrong answer of 'gender neutrality' which would be reached by the year 3freakin'stupid000. That is why I refer to him as 'Mrs. Scott', and the title I gave this thread is meant as a parody of the original title, got it, gay pride crusader? (By the way, Leigh Scott was married for three years until his wife realized that she was married to Leigh Scott.)

Lastly, you never invited me here at all, much less invited me to discuss movies. As I recall, you haven't actually made an effort to discuss the movie at all, and by looking at your message board history, you've never discussed ANY movie at all. You simply burst into a legitimate argument halfway through and argue about nothing that remotely resembles the movie, and make use of the buzzword 'ad hominem' ridiculously often. That's really the definiton of being a troll.

P.S. I know you think this is what I do, but it isn't. I find boards where ignorant syncophants are licking Leigh Slawner's ass and I own them. That's what I do.

You really liked Epic Movie?

Case closed.

Epic movie is easily the wosrt spoof movie ever made.

You are an odd bird...

I'm surprised that you would actually come again onto the board of one of my films. I've noticed that you've been spitting venom at me on generic boards for some time.

Refresh my memory. What exactly did I say to you to make you so angry and keep you up at night?

"There is no peace without freedom, no freedom without a fight."

But, it's what you do: You make a mockery out of the genre and the industry as a whole. As pathetic as it is for Hollywood to be remaking the classics, you go five steps BEYOND that and remake remakes, ripoff other films, etc. You're not doing it anymore since you were booted (oh, sorry, took leave) from The Asylum, but your total lack of respect for the art of filmmaking should prevent you from ever setting foot on a set, let alone directing a film.

You know as little about my personal or professional life as you do about film.

I think you are a petty, little person. I'm glad that you are confined to the message boards of the IMDB. Clearly, you play no impact upon the world, outside of expelling C02 to help plants to live.

So there, nah, nah, nah.

>>I know you won't agree with them because well, you haven't agreed with anything I've said ever.<<

Ever? I've made two whole posts here; this is the third. And in none of them have I made any indication what I think of Leigh Scott's movies at all. Not saying I agree with you isn't the same as disagreeing. I never said either one.

>>Lastly, you never invited me here at all, much less invited me to discuss movies.<<

I didn't say I invited you here. What I said was, "I invited you to discuss the movies, instead of attacking the director." But in my first post I did say, "This is a movie board; how's about providing a little substantive discussion of what's right or wrong with the MOVIES instead of blatant ad-hominem attacks?" What is that, if not an invitation to discuss movies?

As to trolling, with regard to message boards it doesn't refer to ugly elves. It refers to fishing for attention by being disruptive and rude. I'll let everyone else decide which one of us that most describes. Have a nice life.

Humph, well I LOVED 'Dunwich', so there! I thought Leigh Scott did a GREAT job, making a story that [originally] took place in 1928 RELEVANT TO OUR CURRENT CENTURY. Nowhere does he claim that this is a word-for-word retelling of HPL's classic tale - it has elements of the original and several other HPL works, as well as enough modernity to keep the teens-to-20's crowd engaged as well.

And as for Griff Furst being cast as Professor Walter Rice ... well ... <purr>. To hell with Oscar, give Leigh Scott a Nobel Humanitarian Prize!!! ;)

Kudos, Mr. Scott! More! More! MORE!!! :D
