So what football teams do you all support? I mainly support Arsenal, but I also like Manchester City and Liverpool. I tend to support teams that have players that I like, but I support Arsenal no matter what - - great name, great logo, great kit, great stadium. This year they're getting no respect from the so-called experts even though they continue to win and stay on top of the Premier League table.

Point taken. I'm American so I don't have the geographical allegiance to a football team that most English fans do. After watching many Premier League matches, I picked Arsenal as my team based on the factors I mentioned in my OP. It was enjoyable watching them win the FA Cup last Saturday.
I didn't change my team, I just said that I liked other teams as well. I guess that is a sacrilege if you are an English football supporter.
You are right HellaciousWonTon, it IS a sacrilege if you're an British football supporter. Footie fans tend to be rather tribal. However, you cannot be expected to know that as you're from across the pond.

It's the same for me. I have no geographical, blood allegiance to a football team. I follow Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle, but Liverpool is my favorite team, and when any of the others I mention go up against them, I support it. I get to watch and enjoy more matches that way. I do get what others have said about supporting more than one team, though, especially ones from the same region.
