Imogen Poots American Accent

There were times during the film, particularly while doing scenes with Mark Ivanir that she really seemed to struggle with her American accent. Anyone else agree?

reply

I don't agree, I thought she did a pretty convincing job the whole way through.

And yes, I knew she wasn't American before the movie, so I was seeing if I could catch a lapse.

yes I noticed. It was distracting, but not as distracting as the terrible screenplay.

Here here. And isn't she basically playing the same character from Solitary Man except slightly more annoying?

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.

It's 'hear hear.' Hear Hear.

I thought she was terrible. Not the *worst* attempt I've ever heard. But still pretty bad.

I had never heard of her, nor did I know she was English. But I noticed straight away there was something off about her accent, so I checked Wikipedia, and lo and behold, I found out she was English.

I couldn't disagree more. I think it's incredible how well it is.

Here it comes

I found, so far, no mention that A Late Quartet is a remake of a 1983 italian film. Originally titled Il quartetto Basileus, it showed in the USA as Basileus Quartet.
