Actually preferred it to "Lincoln" as well - so how come no Oscar nods?

Also preferred "Margaret", "The Grey", "Dark Horse", & "End of Watch".

If only you could see what I have seen through your eyes.

I agree. An amazing movie with strong performances and an incredible emotional impact. Watched it 3 times in 5 days and still got teary-eyed at the end.

I agree. Why the hell was this film not recognized for anything at the Oscars last year???? I only heard about it on my own, perusing Hoffman's IMDB bio since his tragic passing. I just received it today from Amazon, and loved it.

PSH should have received an Oscar nod, minimally, for his role.

The reason is that Argo, Zero Dark, and Django's nominations were bought and paid for by expensive Oscar campaigns the studios run in Hollywood. It's all a sham. None of those movies were worthy of the recognition.

It's certainly better than all of those films, particularly "Django Unchained," which I hated. This is a real tour de force of acting, but the script felt a bit melodramatic at times. 7/10 stars from me.
